THE 2011 CAMP HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Due to unavoidable circumstances both Snow Football Camps will not be available for the Summer of 2011. The Snow Football Camp’s staff and myself regret having to make this decision but summer is here and both players and sponsors must make plans for the summer events. Due to the NFL Lockout situation being unresolved I am not able to commit to any dates. Being under contract I must be available to the Indianapolis Colts at any given time once the NFL has reached an agreement with all parties. Please visit this site frequently to be advised of any future dates

The 3 Hour “2010 Justin Snow Football Camp” is set for Saturday, June 12th and is free for ages 6-18. The purpose of the football camp is to set examples for young men in Abilene and the Big Country Area of West Texas by focusing on the basic fundamentals of football. Emphasizing the importance of education by staying in school and being a role model for their peers both on and off the field. By being involved in the sport of football will keep them focused on school, off drugs, self development and pursuing their personal goals as each develop their individual skills. Snow, coaches and volunteers strive to set a good foundation of football and have an impact on their athletic ability.

HOUSTON — For the 196th straight time in his career, Justin Snow took the field donning his Indianapolis Colts No. 48 jersey on Sunday at Reliant Stadium.

It’s been 12 years since the Abilene Cooper grad made his debut with the Colts, and he hasn’t missed a game since. He’s been the anchor of the Colts’ special teams, making every long snap for the squad since 2000.

With quarterback Peyton Manning’s neck injury, Snow could potentially set the Indianapolis record for most consecutive starts in team history. Currently he has 196 consecutive starts, 31 behind Manning’s streak that ended on Sunday.

“I take pride (in the streak),” Snow said. “I take pride in taking the field every game I possibly can.

“To look back and think of playing in the NFL for 12 years, I have to pinch myself. This is special to me and I am grateful for the opportunity and this organization.”

Snow’s path to being one of the unsung heroes of the Colts’ dynasty the past decade has been an interesting one.

Troy will be reporting from Super Bowl XLIV this weekend. Follow along with Troy and KTAB/KRBC here.

As the countdown toward this weekend’s Super Bowl continues on, ET’s Kevin Frazier is at the center of the action in South Florida to give the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts a singing challenge!

Our judge for the singing showdown is none other than “American Idol” season two contestant Kimberly Caldwell, whose new album Without Regret is out April 6.

First up, the Indianapolis Colts took on Beyonce‘s hit song “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).” Kimberly narrowed it down to Jaimie Thomas and Justin Snow, with Jaimie narrowly beating out Justin for the honor.

Their superstar teammate Peyton Manning told Kevin of the news, “That’s what I expected he would do…I’m glad you brought it home.”

Then, it was on to the Saints — and it was the Beyonce-like dance moves of Tyler Lorenzen that won the prize! Teammate Reggie Bush couldn’t believe Tyler’s win, saying, “Wow, no! Did you do the dance?… I need to see that.”

The video was removed by ET for some reason.

Before this season, new Indianapolis Colts special teams coordinator Ray Rychleski showed long snapper Justin Snow a list of tackle counts for others who hike the football on punts and field goals.

Snow was at the bottom with one regular-season tackle on special teams last year. The challenge was to work on getting downfield and bringing down returners. For a player in his position, it’s the ultimate trifecta: solid snap, effective block, race down and finish with a tackle.

The 10th-year pro has responded with seven tackles this season, his largest total since the same count in 2004. His career high is 10 as a rookie in 2000.

Perhaps more impressive is that Snow has been an unsung mainstay at his craft since arriving as an undrafted tight end out of Baylor. When he steps onto the field Sunday at Buffalo, Snow will tie former punter Hunter Smith for second on the team’s all-time consecutive games list at 160. Quarterback Peyton Manning will hit 192 and counting.

“That’s pretty neat,” Snow said. “If you would have asked me when I started this thing in 2000 if I would ever be mentioned in the same breath for consecutive games with a guy like Hunter Smith, that’s pretty special. Just to be with an organization as successful as we’ve been is totally an honor.” Read the rest of this entry »
